{"id":423,"date":"2020-05-30T12:52:01","date_gmt":"2020-05-30T10:52:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alejandrarojascontreras.cl\/english\/?p=423"},"modified":"2023-09-05T16:43:11","modified_gmt":"2023-09-05T14:43:11","slug":"tieco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alejandrarojascontreras.cl\/english\/tieco\/","title":{"rendered":"Textiles Ind\u00edgenas Ecol\u00f3gicos"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>Textiles Ind\u00edgenas Ecol\u00f3gicos &#8211; Artifica la UC 2019<\/h3>\n<p>As UNESCO declared 2019 The International Year of Indigenous Languages, Textiles Ind\u00edgenas Ecol\u00f3gicos (TIE) created textile works inspired by three indigenous languages in Chile: Aymara\/Aimara, Mapudung\u00fan\/Mapuzungun and southern Quechua.<\/p>\n<p>The result of the TIE Project was four 150 x 200 cm textile pieces, each created with reused and dyed leather discards. The leather pieces were laser cut in the FabLab UC, assembled as male\/female pieces, and then machine stitched to make them stronger.<\/p>\n<p>The creation of these four contemporary textile pieces included one work from each mentioned culture and an experimental design.
